Wieśniacy

Wieśniacy – meaning country folk – are a traditional Polish Folk Song and Dance Ensemble based in Birmingham, in the heart of the West Midlands.

Wieśniacy have performed in many various and unusual venues and dancing for the Polish community at various traditional and national days of remembrance. We are also proud to have performed for Pope John Paul II, The Prime Minister of Poland Lech Wałęsa, several times for TV Polonia as well as local TV, at the highly prestigious Symphony Hall and Town Hall in Birmingham, and in festivals in the UK and abroad.

Nearly all the people in the group are Polish, but that’s not a prerequisite. As long as you enjoy the music, the dance and the culture – all are welcome!
