Celebrating Polish Heritage Through Generations
For generations, Polish folk dance groups across the UK have played an important role in keeping Polish culture and traditions alive. Through dance, music and regional costumes, they have brought communities together and passed on their love of Polish folklore to younger generations.
Organised by the Federation of Polish Folklore Groups in Great Britain (FPZF), Spirit of Poland – Dance Spectacular celebrates this shared passion and the dedication of the people who continue to keep these traditions alive.
Over the years, the festival has brought together Polish folk dance groups from across the UK and Ireland, giving dancers the opportunity to perform, share their experiences and celebrate their cultural roots. It is also a chance for audiences of all backgrounds to discover the richness and variety of Polish folklore.
In February 2027, Spirit of Poland – Dance Spectacular returns for its 12th edition, this time in Southampton. The festival will bring together 14 groups and nearly 400 dancers for two days of performances showcasing traditional dances from different regions of Poland, accompanied by beautiful costumes and music.
But Spirit of Poland – Dance Spectacular is about more than what happens on stage. It is about the friendships built through dance, the dedication of generations of volunteers and the pride of keeping Polish culture alive far from home.
We look forward to welcoming you to O2 Guildhall Southampton on 27–28 February 2027 for a weekend of Polish music, dance and tradition.
