10th Polish Folklore Spectacular – tickets now on sale!

10 & 11 March 2018

De Montfort Hall, Leicester

A vibrant celebration of Polish dance, song and music presented by over 400 performers from across the UK and Ireland.  The Federation of Polish Folklore Groups in Great Britain is proud to present the 10th Festival of Polish Folklore on the 25th anniversary of the first Festival held in the UK in Leamington Spa in 1993. You will be entertained by 15 song and dance ensembles from across the UK, including 1 ensemble from Ireland and a choir made up of singers from across the UK.  They will be showcasing the broad range of national and regional folk songs and dances in the respective traditional costumes.

The ensembles and performers are all amateurs who regularly perform at a variety of functions, including for royalty and some have even been on national television.  The ensembles are made up of performers who are first, second or third generation Poles and there are even have a few performers with no Polish heritage.  What unites all the performers and ensembles is a common love for Poland’s rich and colourful culture and they cannot wait to share it with audiences at De Montfort Hall.

Tickets are available from the box office, by telephone or online. Please note that the programme is the same for both shows.
